Welcome
to Robinvale and the Weir Caravan Park.
This quiet family park
overlooks the Murray River and is close to lock 15 and its weir.
A tranquil park in a picturesque setting
where visitors can enjoy the sunshine,
excellent fishing, canoeing, water skiing, bike riding and walking, or
just take
in the abundant bird life, beautiful views and the Murray sunsets.


PARK
AND GENERAL INFORMATION FOR OUR GUESTS
Laundry and gold phone are next door to reception and clothes
lines are
behind the camp kitchen.
River
View Ensuite Cabins:
Comfortable studio style cabins
overlooking
lawns and the Murray River, all with reverse cycle air conditioning.
Cabin sleeping
combinations range from a double bed, to a double bed and three bunks,
or a
double bed and four bunks. The double beds are made up with all the
necessary
linen and towels and linen is available for the bunk beds at an extra
cost.
Gas barbecues and picnic tables are provided for the use of guests.

River
View Sites:
Powered grassy sites with mature shade
trees
overlooking the river, definitely no hot concrete slabs.

Camp
Kitchen
Spacious, airy building with a
microwave, fridge, hot water,
coin operated barbeques and an ample number of tables and chairs.
Recreation room
with TV, Internet access and Snooker table is next
door to the
Camp Kitchen.
Kiosk:
Ice, milk, cold drinks, savoury snacks,
ice creams and a small
range of groceries and fishing accessories.


Water Skiing
and fishing enthusiasts can launch their boats at the boat
ramp just out of the bottom corner of the park. For the angler, a
New South Wales fishing license is required. These are available
at the sports store in Robinvale. Other activities include bike
riding or walking along the river bank, bird
watching, a game of golf (at the18 hole Robinvale golf
course nearby), or just relaxing down by the gazebo near the river
with a good book and a cool drink.

Lock 15 and
the Weir are right next door with their picturesque lawns and
gardens.
Gadston’s Bend State Forest.
Approximately 5 kilometres from
the park is Gadston’s
Bend State Forest on the beautiful Murray River. Many hours can
be spent here, exploring, fishing, or just taking in the beauty
and peace. Or take a drive along Tol Tol Road exploring the State
Forest whilst meandering along the river.
Lake Benanee,
a 10 minute drive towards
Balranald.
DAY TRIPS – NATIONAL PARKS
Hattah-Kullkyne and Murray-Kulkyne National Parks: enjoy the abundance of wildlife, majestic River Red Gums, ancient Buloke trees amid rolling sand plains,
and the distinctive mallee for which this region is renowned.
Mungo Lakes National Park:
World Heritage area, wild, lonely
moonscape of saltbush and sand dunes; Aboriginal people lived here
as early as 60,000 years ago.
Dining: Choose from Robinvale Golf Club (dining facilities Friday lunch
and Thursday – Saturday Dinner); Follarchies
(café/restaurant/tavern) Herbert Street; Rainbow Inn Chinese &
Thai Restaurant, Perrin Street; Chinese Restaurant, Bromley Road
(eat in or takeaway); cafes, fish and chips in Perrin Street.
Wineries: Visit
local wineries including:
Robinvale Wines, Sealake Road, organic and bio-dynamic,
and
free wine tasting;
and
McWilliam’s Wines, 22 Moore Street, Robinvale weekdays only 9am –
12 noon & 1.00 – 4.30 pm.
Back Water Murray River Tours:
2 to 5 people travel with
licensed guides to view the spectacular river scenery and abundant
birdlife and to enjoy the tranquility of the Mighty Murray River.
The local shopping centre is in Perrin Street with a large, well
stocked IGA supermarket and car park in Latje Road behind the
Service Station, both of which are open 7 days a week.

The Weir Caravan Park is situated 1 ½ kilometres South West of the
town of
Robinvale, 480 km north-west of Melbourne on the Murray Valley
Highway, 136 km
north-west of Swan Hill and 83 km south-east of Mildura. The park
overlooks the
Murray River and is next door to Lock number 15 and its Weir.
