Do you like to see
Australian native animals in their natural environment? Well we have
the
type of tour to suit you. Enjoy the flexibility of a small group tour which can be customised
to meet your needs and special requests.
Every detail will be taken care of by David or
Mardi, so a comfortable journey is assured.

Big Bend By Night is
a nature based tourism business that operates from our family farm
near Swan Reach, nestled under the stunning Big Bend cliffs on the
mighty Murray River.
We offer a range of tours to passengers on the cruise boats operating
on the lower reaches
of the River Murray, to houseboat hirers and those able to drive into the
rugged Big Bend area.
Whether you are coming
in by car or houseboat, contact us for the best way to find us.

Spotlighting is a recreational activity that country people have been
participating in for
generations. We have taken it to the next level to enable you to enjoy
the atmosphere and
excitement of a strong searchlight sweeping the Australian bush
searching for the reflective
eyes that will give away the position of the animals feeding.
See the evasive wombat
in its natural habitat along with large mobs of grey and red kangaroos
as they feed on the irrigated and natural pastures on the old Sunnydale Station at Swan Reach.

These
tours will give you the opportunity to view native animals in the wild
as they feed at
night. Our comfortable trailers behind the quad bike can go anywhere
in the bush to get you up
close to kangaroos, wombats, foxes, owls, and hundreds of spiders.
These tours are exciting
as well as informative as we identify the animals from their
reflective eyes shining in our
bright searchlights. No walking is involved and blankets are provided
on the cold nights.

DINNER TOURS
We can provide a meal for you in a
choice of three locations - all with a view of the
stunning Big Bend Cliffs as they change colour at sunset. Rack of Lamb
and
Beer Can Chicken are our specialties!

BREAKFASTS
If you are holidaying on a
houseboat we can cook you a bush tucker breakfast
(including your traditional breakfast foods) in a setting that you
will not experience
on the main river system.

Houseboats that include a Big Bend By
Night tour in their holiday are permitted to a free
overnight mooring between the 229km river marker and Preiss Landing (22m
downstream).
This mooring site is the only one available opposite the magnificent Big Bend Cliffs.

BAROSSA TOURS
Two chauffer driven vehicles can
accommodate up to 6 passengers in one and 13 passengers
in the other on an
informative winery tour into the nearby Barossa Valley.
Tours can be
designed specifically for
you, and lunch is included amongst the barrels at
Chateau Tanunda or
from the restaurant at
Lou Miranda Family Wines.
OUTBACK PUB TOURS
Try something different and visit
three outback/isolated pubs including lunch at one of them
plus a close up look at the first weir and lock on the river system at
Blanchetown.
ACCOMMODATION
We can recommend various
accommodation venues that exist in the Murraylands,
catering for an budget requirements.
