Horse riding is always a favourite activity and can be arranged for
all ages over
three. With our friendly family of horses in all shapes and sizes, why
not come
and bring the kids for a leisurely ride at Narnu, no experience is
necessary.

accomplish more or work on particular skills. |
Horse Riding is
offered on weekends and during S.A School Holidays. Our first daily
Riding Session begins at 9.00am and our last session begins at
1.30pm. Bookings
are essential and should be made as far in advance as possible.
School Holidays and
Long weekends tend to be very popular and ‘book out’ readily.
All bookings need to be made at least 24hrs in advance as daily
riding sheets are
organised and horses are made ready early in the day.
Prices listed below are for day
visitors; guests accommodated in our cottages or
bunkhouse will receive discounts off the listed rates. Group
bookings (10+) can
negotiate discount at time of booking.

Animal Feeding
If you are staying with us here at Narnu
Farm we operate daily farm Animal Feeding
as a complimentary activity each morning and afternoon. Come
collect eggs and feed,
pat and play with our friendly farm family. Meet the following animals:
Goats, Deer, Pig,
Potty Lambs and Calves, Chickens, Ducks, Geese, Emu, Pheasants,
Peacocks,
Jersey Cows, Horses, cats, sheep, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Chicken
hatchery.
Hand Milking
If you are staying with us
here at Narnu Farm we operate daily farm Animal Feeding
and Hand Cow Milking as a complimentary activity.
This seasonal activity is normally
conducted in the Mornings and depending on our cows milk production can be
milked
in the afternoon as well. In the months leading to calving,
milking won't be available but
we often have a potty calf to hand rear. Hand milking is a great way
to for young minds
to think about where the basic essentials really come from!
Vintage Truck farm tour
Elsie Bedford is our big red restored
truck with high sides, a tour of the farm is a
great activity. Meet our horse family in the paddocks, feed them carrots
and see all
the different breeds and colours. With sights over the Coorong and
Mighty Murray River
the hay ride also touches on the farms history and sights along
the way

Charming cottages offering privacy and flexibility in a rural setting,
ideally located as
a base for touring and experiencing attractions of the region or for a
fun filled family holiday.

Our seven cottages range in size form
two to four bedrooms and are surrounded by plenty

Group
Accommodation
Larger family and social groups can
be accommodated in our bunkhouse which can
cater for up to 54 guests. This facility is popular for groups
wishing to stay together in
a great social and spacious atmosphere.

The Bunkhouse is located in the
activity heart of the farm with glass doors opening out
to our undercover BBQ area and on the children's paradise of the
animal area. The
Bunkhouse is central to the fun of Narnu Farm. Children are able to
enjoy the safe
fun filled atmosphere while parents are able to relax with friends
and family.
Bunkhouse facilities include:
- The bunkhouse has six rooms,
each with four bunk beds (eight beds), and an
additional room with three bunk beds (six beds). Total of 54
beds (see
layout)
- Toilet and Shower facilities
are adjacent to the bunkhouse facility and have been newly
renovated; both male and female ablutions have 3 showers and
2 toilets.
- Main kitchen has full
catering facilities with plenty of fridge and freezer room.
Ovens, Gas Hot Plates, microwave etc.
- Paved undercover BBQ
facilities are adjacent to the Bunkhouse facility
and are available for your use.
- The Bunkhouse has pot-belly
fire-place for winter months and firewood
will be made available.
- All mattresses are now thick
6 inch hostel vinyl mattresses.
- Please note that no linen,
blankets or pillows are supplied for the bunkhouse.
- In addition a bonfire can be
booked to have during an evening of your stay
(1st May – 30th Nov) depending on weather conditions and
fire risk factors.
- The bunkhouse has a new
monitored fire alarm system, linking thermal and
smoke sensors throughout the building to the local CFS fire
station
- Table tennis

- A movie/theatre projector
with DVD to watch films as a night
activity; we have a selected range of movies for your use.
This new addition has proved to be a popular supplement to
our school camps and family groups alike. If you would like

School Camps
Narnu Farm has been dedicated to running
fun, safe and educational school camps for
over 25 years. Our on- site facilties allow a flexible school camp,
whether you wanted
a full activity program, or just accommodation (with or without
catering).

These activities allow
students to step back through time to see how life has evolved from
the pioneer days as well as allowing students to get up close and personal

of friendly farm animals and horses. Safety is paramount and all
activities are conducted
in a safe manner by well trained staff. All facilities and equipment are
well maintained.
Children are well fed
with a tasty and filling menu and special dietary requirements are no
problem. We can accommodate up to 100 students in our comfortable
bunkhouse and
cottage accommodation facilities.

Aquatic Camps
Many schools utilise the South Coast
for its ideal aquatic activity locations, we have had
many schools, Navy Cadets and other aquatic based groups use our
accommodation and
catering facilities as a base for organised aquatic camp programs.
Only a few hundred metres
from the front of our campsite is the Murray River with a public boat
ramp, which offers
great conditions for:

We have contacts with a some aquatic
providers who have run successful aquatics
camps from our camp site location on Hindmarsh Island. And can assist

We are located on
picturesque Hindmarsh Island overlooking the Murray River, near the
sleepy riverside town of Goolwa on the South Coast of South
Australia.
From the CBD of
Adelaide it takes about one hour and fifteen minutes to get here.
By road travel south
from to the River Port
of Goolwa, then take the bridge to . Continue along the main
road (Randall Road) for the next 3kms and
turn left onto Monument Road.
