The Wooden Boat Association and the Armfield Slip Community of Goolwa have joined forces and now hold a Putt Putt and Puff day on the first Sunday of every second month. The first one was held on July 4th and saw 11 boats leave Hectors jetty at Goolwa and head for the Murray Mouth. After leaving the lock they had to collect a bottle from the water and return it to the duty boat which caused a considerable amount of hilarity and some fairly serious cheating.

Seven boats crossed the mouth and the crews picnicked at Barkers Knoll. The enclosed photo shows some of the crews wading ashore.

Putt -Putts are welcome as are trailer sailers (even though they may be plastic). In fact any boat that wants to can come along and is welcome. It is all low key (but a sense of humour is essential)

All days are are a BYO everything and are about enjoying boats and boaties!
Contact point is Peter Reedman 855550576 or 0414921102 on the day.
