Riverland Balloon Fiesta 2011

The Riverland Balloon Fiesta is the only official ballooning event held in South Australia. Renmark will again host this very successful and expanding event.
Hot Air Balloon launches are held daily rising from the mist at 6am and again amongst Renmark’s finest winter sunshine at 3pm. Weather conditions and wind speeds determine the best location for the launch of the hot air balloons, therefore several alternative launch sites across the region are agreed upon by the Chief Pilot.
Another huge draw card for this spectacular event is the Hot Air Balloon Night Glow, where at night, the balloons are inflated and create a magnificent photo opportunity. The Balloon Night Glow offers a family fun atmosphere with age appropriate activities and a range of food and drink stalls. Entry is by Gold Coin Donation.
On the Sunday organisers are hoping to have a Market at the Town Ovals, kite making & hot air balloon models made by local Primary School children will be on display and other activities will be happening around the town!
Commercial flights will also be available to those who wish to take in some spectacular and unique views of the mighty Murray River and the Riverland.
