Set
in the beautiful Lower River Murray region and moored at
Temptation Marina,
12 kms up from Mannum, where the sun is shining and the scenery starts to become
really interesting.
Mannum is approximately an hour and fifteen minutes
drive from
Adelaide. Travel via the freeway or the picturesque Adelaide
hills,
perhaps taking in a small boutique winery for lunch on the way!
 'Flat White' launched in January 05
and is the new standard houseboat offering sophisticated styling and the 'Wow Factor'.
Experience the days of blue skies and longer winter sunshine, smooth water skiing conditions and sheer picturesque river scape of our lower Murray region. At first sight 'Flat White' appears a little up market with sleek marine stainless steel hand rails, dark tinted glass doors the entire length and smooth white moulded roof. On closer inspection the carpeted stairs at the rear lead to the shaded sundeck with the atmosphere of a classy café, minus the traffic noise, of course. A large dining area for 12 with comfortable timber sling chairs dominates the space, whilst the gas heated cedar hot tub or spa beckons. A second helm is also located here so the driver is never left out of the party.
Downstairs the main living area and bedrooms have the wow factor. The décor of previous decades has now been replaced with sleek stylish finishes introduced by up market apartment developers. Highly polished beech timber cupboards with darker design contrasts team with granite tops and green glass splash backs to make a statement. Dark plush wool carpets and ample halogen lighting continues that
sophisticated hotel feeling.
Quality stainless steel appliances include the dishwasher and huge two-door fridge with chilled water and ice maker.
A huge 42cm Sharp LCD slimline television monitor sits near the main driving helm. Surround sound for your favourite DVD and CD stacker with music to four different areas of the boat completes the sound system.
Bedroom accommodation for up to 12 is spacious with luxurious beds, designer linen, soft halogen lighting and all bedrooms with LCD TVs,
DVDs and sliding glass doors to the external deck and river views. There are 2
spacious black granite floored bathrooms with heat lamps and great showers. The
rear two bedrooms can convert to a second lounge or living space with large LCD
TV.
From the helm the driver or captain has an easy job of manoeuvring this large but responsive vessel with the aid of a closed circuit TV monitor of the rear giving a clear view of the river behind. This is also handy for watching activities on the rear swim deck from the front lounge when moored to the bank. Two smooth, quiet and economical Honda 90HP engines provide power.
Effective air conditioning and heating, laundry facilities and a gourmet
stainless steel BBQ on the foredeck complete the features.
With a few days' peace, rest and play on the 'Flat White' you may never want to return to normal life.
