The first Wooden Boat
Festival in Australia was held in Goolwa in 1989.
With its rich history of paddle steamers, fishing boat
and recreational boat building the River port of Goolwa is the
ideal location for one of the best Wooden Boat Festivals going
around. Our
festival appeals to so many wooden boating enthusiasts around
Australia and the world. Most
feel its the closeness and great viewing of wooden boats and
everything wooden boating that keeps them coming back every 2
years. Most non
wooden boat enthusiasts that come to our festival go away with a
new found passion.
