Leaving the Alfred Deakin Centre travel along Deakin Avenue towards
Seventh Street. At the T intersection turn right into Seventh Street. At the roundabout we
travel over the George Chaffey Bridge into New south Wales.
Once over the bridge we veer left at the roundabout following
tourist Drive 7 signage.
On our right is Pitman Avenue, where Keighley Hill Bonsai Gallery
can be found. With over 150 bonsai trees on display and 100's of trees for sale, Keighley
Hill is open daily (except Monday) from 10am to 5pm.
Continuing along the Silver City Highway (which by the way continues
on to Broken Hill), we come to Orange World. Here is you chance to take a one hour tractor
train tour through a citrus property. Train tours depart daily (except Saturday, open 7
days during school holidays at 10:30am and 2:30pm.
Turning left at Orange World leads us to Boeill Creek Road turning
right leads us to the Australian Inland Botanic Gardens. The first plantings at these
community managed gardens occurred in 1991, when the garden's patron Lady Stephen and the
former Governor General Sir Ninian Stephen planted the first of the Eucalypts, which line
the driveway. The Garden is open daily except for Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Donations are
appreciated.

We now retrace our steps back to the Silver City Highway again
passing Orange World. Once back on the highway on our right is BRL Hardy's Stanley Wines
open for cellar door sales and tasting, Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm, Saturday 10:30pm to
4pm and Sunday 12noon to 4pm. Continuing through the Coomealla irrigation area to the
township of Dareton. Driving through Dareton, Tulklana Kumbi one of Australia's leading
Aboriginal Galleries is on our left in Neilpo Street. The gallery is open 6 days a week,
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 11am to 4:30pm. Admission is free.
Shortly we pass the Coomealla Hotel followed by the Coomealla
Memorial Sporting Club. The club is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.
On our left just after the club, is display of old pumping
equipment. The park has public toilets and a childrens playground. A great place to
stretch your legs before continuing on.
The street beside the park leads to Coomealla Packers, one of the
regions dried fruit packers, driving along we notice vineyards and citrus properties.
After crossing Tuckers Creek Bridge we reach Curlwaa where this
drive concludes. You may now like to join Tourist Drive 5 through to Wentworth or travel
over the Abbotsford Bridge towards Merbein.
