Description
Unique opportunity to acquire a steel hull, three-deck paddleboat, currently Australia’s only trading boat operating on the river Murray.
The vessel is ideal as a permanent home and has potential for a number of other exciting ventures, eg. Live aboard café and shop, restaurant, B&B etc., subject to necessary approvals and licences.
Built in 1991, the boat comprises main deck with large living area, galley, double bedroom and bathroom plus wide drive-on garage and extensive outer deck with access all around, an upper deck with spacious saloon and wheelhouse plus wide deck all around, and a lower deck with forecastle (2nd bedroom), engine room, storeroom and workshop.
The vessel is powered by a diesel engine driving a hydraulic pump and motors on each paddle wheel, giving great manoeouvrability, and allowing the boat to turn in its own length.

Layout
The boat is currently set up with shop on upper level, living, bedroom and bathroom on main level, and store and bedroom below. The vessel could easily be converted to a living area on upper level with shop, museum, or under cover outdoor café, B&B, etc, on the main level. Both main and upper accommodation opens onto wide decks all around, offering shade and shelter in all weather.

The boat is now moored at Murray Bridge. Surveyed for insurances purposes. Designed and built as a “class 2D non passenger trading vessel for smooth and partially smooth waters” under Commonwealth Shippings Laws code 1984. Firstly Marine Safety surveyed by Captain Henry of Port Adelaide. Subsequently resurveyed in 2002.
Vessel shipped for routine maintenance 12th June 2004. Report available.
