Barberosa Houseboats

Welcome
As the fourth largest river system in the world, the Murray River carries a special significance for Australians. Originating high in the Snowy Mountains it meanders its way along a 2,520km course to the sea. Since the late 19th century when paddlesteamers first plied the waters, The Murray has been the lifeline for many inland farming communities, not to mention the abundance of diverse and uniquely Australian plants and animals.
Being on a houseboat allows you the choice of enjoying the river environment and all its water activities as well as the many things to see and do on land The historic Port of Echuca, home to the Barberosa fleet, provides an insight into life in the early 1900s when Echuca was the largest inland port in Australia.
Houseboating is about living life to the full, whether you’re longing for a weekend escape, indulging in a feast of fine local food and wine whilst relaxing in your own private stretch of river, or joining with friends for a week of waterskiing, swimming, golf or partying all night.
Perhaps the greatest luxury of all is the choice to do whatever you like whenever you like!
