Drives along and around the Murray River
Getting to the Murray River, Lakes and Coorong
With most roads accessible by car, caravan and campervan, you can explore the region at your own pace. Try one of the following routes as the start to your journey:
A 130km loop from Mannum through spinifex and saltbush plains, by parks and a waterfall, with a Shearer's factory, cemeteries and an old railway line dotted with homesteads. You'll also discover some great river views and spectacular cliffs.
Taking in the entire length of the Murray River and Mallee.
Follow the footsteps of Alexander Golmter, who in the 1850s worked with SA Police to boost the state's future through gold routes near the Coorong.
Takes in the Coorong and spectacular inland scenery on your way between these two great Australian cities.
Discover Aboriginal culture and the wilderness of the Lakes and Coorong.
