Welcome
Eco-cruising into the Coorong National Park
The Coorong National Park is a special place of spectacular beauty. With high sand dune systems fronting the Southern Ocean and a long, narrow wetland complex connecting to the lower Murray River and Lakes system it has international significance as a migratory wader and waterfowl refuge. The Coorong lagoon system stretches nearly 150 kms from the Murray Mouth and is of spiritual significance to the local Ngarrindjeri people. There are even archaeological sites attesting to Aboriginal occupation and use of the area over many thousands of years.
Let award winning Spirit of the Coorong Cruises take you on a soft adventure experience with 4 and 6 hour cruises from Goolwa across the Murray Mouth into the Coorong National Park. Cruises include spectacular sand dune scenery, wetland birdlife, expert captain’s commentary, aboriginal and european history, guided walks, delicious lunch and afternoon tea.
