As the fourth largest river system in the world, the Murray River carries a special significance for Australians. How to get to Echuca-Moama

Echuca-Moama is located on the Murray River 2.5 hours north of Melbourne.

From Melbourne take the Hume Hwy north. Turn to the Murray Valley Hwy travelling through Heathcote and Rochester to Echuca (distance 205km).

From Sydney take the Hume Hwy south to Albury then turn off to the Murray Valley Hwy through Rutherglen and Cobram to Echuca (distance 795km).

Dinky-Di moorings are on the NSW side of the Murray River in Moama. Travel over the bridge then turn left at the first street (newsagent on the corner) and follow the signs.

Several V/Line services operate to Echuca from Melbourne each day either by direct coach or rail-coach connection (some via Bendigo)
