John Gregory Memorial Tractor Trek & Show 'n' Shine Display Day

The Nildottie Tractor Drivers, in association with the Nildottie Progress association and the Murray Mallee Auto Club are planning to hold a Tractor Trek and Show ‘n’ Shine display day as fundraisers to assist in the building of the John Gregory Memorial Playground to be located in the main street of Nildottie.
The Tractor Trek will depart from Peter Dettloffs’ property at 168 Stott highway [Loxton Road] Swan Reach at 9am SHARP on Saturday the 6th of April and we will be trekking to Towitta Park for an overnight camp out before returning to Swan Reach to join in the Display day at the Swan Reach oval arriving around midday.
This run will be on public roads so all tractors WILL need to have a permit or registration. If you don’t want to bring a tractor you are still welcome to join us in your vehicle of choice. [We also require a front and rear escort if anyone would like to help].
This year the trek will be fully catered by local groups so no need to bring your own food. All catering will be on a pay as you purchase basis.
On the Sunday the 7th we are planning to hold a Show’n’Shine display day and are looking for people interested in displaying Cars, Trucks, Tractors, engines, machinery or just items of interest for viewing by the public at the Swan Reach Oval to be set up NO LATER the 11am. As we only have a small group organising this day we ask people that require fencing for their displays to please organise this themselves.
A gourmet BBQ lunch will be provided by the Nildottie Progress assoc. on Sunday.
The Tractor trek participants are requested to add their tractors to the display on the oval on arrival.
There is no entry fee for either of these events we just request a generous donation to the fundraiser. Also on Sunday between 2 & 4 pm Peter Dettloff will open his tractor collection for inspection by those interested in having a look.
