Food and Wine Festival and Rose Week October 17th to 27th 2013
**Thursday 17th: Heward Estate Wine Tasting is 500m on the Barmera side of Monash. A great opportunity to taste some local wine and a platter of local lamb, quail and Coorong mullet cooked on hot coals will be available. A variety of restored implements and farm vehicles are on display, displaying some local history of the area.
**Friday 18th Oct “Riverlution" Black tie dinner under the stars beside the Murray River. This dinner celebrates the opening of the Wine and Food Festival 2013. Enjoy great food, great wine and great entertainment. $120 p.p. Ph.: 0414 299 141.
**Saturday 19th : Food and Wine Festival Main Event. Locals and visitors alike converge onto the banks of the River Murray in Berri to enjoy the atmosphere, entertainment and taste the variety of Wine and Food on offer from local producers. The festival showcases the tastes of the Riverland like no other event. Tickets available online or at the gate. A free bus service leaves from each Riverland town and designated drivers are looked after at the event with free soft drinks and water.
**Bella Lavender- A little piece of Italy right here in the Riverland. Scrumptious light meals, delicious coffee, putt put golf course and an array of handmade lavender products all set amongst the back drop of lavender, olive trees and vineyards. **Cobdogla Steam Museum- opens daily through Rose Week 10-4. Steam train rides Sunday 20th and 27th. A historical view of irrigation and machinery from yester year. 08 8588 22 89
**Cobdogla Steam & Irrigation Museum Halloween Spooky Twilight Train rides Saturday 26th Spooky rides $5.00 under 5yrs free. Run in conjunction with the Cobdogla Club where meals, entertainment and Trick or Treating are available. Enjoy a fun night with the family! BOO!! 088588 22 89
**Wilabalangaloo- 4km from Berri .This reserve boasts a comfortable self guided nature trail which shows off the spectacular ochre coloured cliffs flanking the Might y Murray River, fabulous views can also be seen from the cliff top lookout as well as an abundance of wildlife at every turn. **Banrock Station Wine, Wetland and Nature. Open daily, and till 10pm Fridays or special events. Experience the nature trails, bird watching, or wildlife spotting or just relax on the deck and enjoy fine wine and food surrounded by amazing scenery. 088583 0299
