Working Dogs Demonstration

This October, the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market will be giving you a peek into the secret life of an Australian icon – the working dog. Join us on October 25 at the Mount Pleasant Showgrounds for an exciting demonstration of working dogs’ skill. The Farmers Market will be open as usual from 8am with the Working Dogs demonstration to start at 10am. Get there early and you’ll have time to shop or grab a coffee or breakfast before settling in for this unique event.
Be amazed as these highly trained animals herd sheep through obstacles and in yards. Watch and listen as Ben Page of the Working Dog Centre puts the hard working intelligent Australian Kelpies and Border Collies through their paces. These are not ‘trick’ dogs, they are genuine working dogs, worth their weight in gold as any farmer or cattleman can tell you.
Learn some dog training tips and ‘secrets’ while you and the kids enjoy watching these intelligent and well trained canines do what they do best. You may never look at dogs the same way again!
