In 2010 the State Government will turn the spotlight on Murray Bridge through a year long arts and cultural focused celebration that our community will be able to build on for many years to come.
“This program spotlights a regional centre with a year of artistic celebration and community involvement, as well as investing in local arts infrastructure. Port Augusta was the 2008 recipient and Murray Bridge has been announced as the 2010 SA Regional Centre of Culture.

What is the South Australian Regional Centre of Culture?
The SA Regional Centre of Culture program reflects growing international interest in the valuable role of the arts and cultural programs in building strong resourceful communities, enriching community life and fostering community wellbeing.
Through this initiative Country Arts SA encourages:
• new investments in regional culture infrastructure
• new roles and methods for arts practices
• increased access to the arts for the host community
The program includes a diverse range of arts and cultural events, major events, history and heritage programs, writing, performances and exhibitions and includes the work of many SA’s state arts and cultural organisations.
It includes exposure to professional arts product, high quality professional facilitation of community cultural development practices and projects and events developed by local groups and individuals
