Karoonda Centenary Celebrations 2011

This year the Karoonda East Murray District celebrates 100 years since the sinking of the first bore at the Karoonda Oval. The celebrations were launched at the Karoonda Farm Fair in April with the unveiling of a plaque by Mr John Clarke, grandson of Mr Thomas Clarke who was in charge of maintenance of the first bore.
The main celebrations will be held from Friday 30th September to Monday 3rd October 2011.
The Karoonda East Murray community invites everyone to come and be part of this exciting event. There will be plenty to do and lots of time to reminisce. The Centenary Program has been released, below is a summary of events on over the weekend.
