The Australian-German Welfare Society presents “Memories in my Luggage” German Migration 1935 to 1956. Displaced refugees, adventurers who sought a new life, and people driven forth by their faith… these are the people who have shaped the multicultural society in Australia today. They faced their new world bravely but the memories of home travelled with them – never to be forgotten. Photographer Eva
Maria Rugel, author Sabine Nielsen and designer David Wong have joined together to create this exhibition.
