It’s Not for Everyone is an extraordinary depiction of humanity, from our most affected representations all the way to our most elemental. Of course, only an internationally revered company could present a canvas this broad with the uncompromising brilliance, virtuosity and inventiveness needed to delight and amaze an audience.
Acrobat (Jo Lancaster and Simon Yates), is simply a local treasure. The skill, precision and creativity inherent in their work, has been lauded globally for decades, and HotHouse is utterly thrilled to be hosting the world premiere of their next work.
In the traditional circus, old acrobats become clowns and continue to work into their dotage. It’s Not For Everyone will open with classical clowning routines that descend into absurdist renditions of brash humour, expressionism and finally, base humanity. Funny, shocking and utterly original, It’s Not For Everyone will mesmerise local audiences before taking the world by storm. There will be mud.
