Flourish Festival
14 Nov 2015
Flourish is a free festival that is open to the general community. It celebrates and shares the work and experiences of local primary and high school students who have participated in the Learning Communities program.
The Learning Communities program is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Education’s Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program.
The event aims to promote community understanding of higher education around the real-world theme of ‘creating sustainable communities’. It is driven by our school partners and will involve short films, art and school displays, live music, exhibits and stalls, fun and games. It also includes exhibits and discussions with sustainability champions from the local area and beyond who have inspired local students work, such as Edgars Mission Farm Sanctuary, Australian Youth Climate Coalition and Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
