3 hour Living River Festival Lunch Cruise on board the PS Marion, Morgan

15 May 2016

Amazing river scenery and a myriad of birdlife awaits your enjoyment as we travel upstream towards Cadell, Nor’ West Bend Station and return to Morgan

Cold chicken and salad, crusty bread with delicious dessert buffet included.

Make your way up to the licensed bar on the middle deck as you enjoy this unique experience onboard the historic PS Marion steamer.

Departing from Morgan river bank at 12:00 (embarkation 11:30) and returning 3:00.

The Paddle Steamer Marion is a fully restored heritage vessel built in 1897 and is one of the last operational, heritage, steam driven, wood fired, overnight passenger carrying side paddle steamer in the world. PS Marion provides a unique opportunity to experience the thrills and mysteries of the golden years of the river boats.

Gain an advantageous perspective of the river town of Morgan as you relax and enjoy the passing river scenery and listen to the slap of the paddles, passing spectacular river cliffs and a myriad of bird life; this unique journey aboard the grand old lady of the river will appeal to all.

Observe the Engineer and Fireman as they work their magic in the art of steam engine operation. Watch in awe as the Captain and Mate manoeuvre the 200 tonne heritage vessel. Learn the history of PS Marion from interpretive panels, or better still – have a chat to one of the friendly Deckhands. Relax, unwind and appreciate the serenity PS Marion and the Murray River have to offer.

Note: All itineraries and arrival / departure dates and times are subject to change at any time dependant on river conditions and at the discretion of the Captain. Lunch / Dinner cruise tickets are non-refundable but transferable to another Lunch / Dinner cruise if written notice is received at least 14 days prior to departure date. The PS Marion is a heritage vessel, exempted from complying with elements of the SA Harbours and Navigation Act and passengers agree to travel on that basis. Life jackets are provided on board the Marion for emergency purposes only. If passengers require life jackets or buoyancy vests they need to provide their own.
