37th Annual Corowa Swim-In & Military Vehicle Gathering

Annually since 1980 military vehicle enthusiasts gather in the town of Corowa and display their privately owned vehicles. This is the largest gathering of vehicles in the Southern Hemisphere. Each year there is a theme. in 2016 it is Year of the Chrysler 2 and Year of the Tank. People with all types of vehicles are encouraged to attend whether they are able to bring a vehicle or not. It was originally organised for people who owned amphibious military vehicles so each year we have vehicles ’swimming in the Murray River. The main days are Friday 18th and Saturday 19th March. On Saturday there is a parade of approximately 200 vehicles down Sanger St and out to the Showgrounds where there is a large Swap Meet. During the week vehicles can be seen in Ball Park Caravan Park and there are trips to Jindera and Bonegilla organised later in the week. Enthusiasts come from all states of Australia and overseas.
