A musician from Dublin buzzing with potential, Oisín travels to Berlin with his band, leaving behind the tragedy of an absentee father and the loss of his mother. Whilst in Berlin Oisín meets Sabine, a young local who shows him the real Berlin city. Secret places, hot parks, uninhabited stations, and countryside lakes where free body culture is alive and well. His band already gone, Oisín illusion is shattered when he finds this young local has a boyfriend and the futility of his situation dawns on him. Lonely homesick, homeless and broke he embraces the darkness and tumbles through the void and out the other side.
Robert Manson will introduce the movie and host a Q&A session after the viewing of the movie in person. A short film Ballsy, will screen afterwards.
Ballsy follows Rich, successful and living a life of luxury, Australian advertising exec Ben’s world implodes upon discovering he has cancer. Using his survival as an opportunity to find meaning in the world, this is an inspirational testament to his positivity and innovative action.
