Goolwa Aquafest 2017 - Vintage & Classic Speedboats

Come and enjoy the `Goolwa Aquafest’ classic speedboat event. Its a weekend of beautiful & quick vintage, classic and modern race & speedboats strutting their stuff at the Goolwa Aquatic Club.
You will see vintage wooden hydroplanes, skiffs, classic old race & ski boats, plus fiberglass classic race & ski boats right up to modern style race boats.
The event is fully catered and family friendly with food stalls and amusement rides for the kids.
Admission is FREE both days.
This is a two day event for the entrants, but the main day for spectators is on the Sunday.
On Saturday the boats are free to run as they please and the day is designed to by an enjoyed and relaxed for the entrants.
On Sunday, the boats take part in formalized heats with common styles of craft taking to the water and putting on a demonstration of the golden years of speedboat events.
During the lunch break, we will also have a jet ski stunt display by some of Australia’s very best riders just to keep the action flowing.
There is Hot Rod, Custom & Classic car display.
Top all that of with a vintage aeroplane flyover buzzing the crowd, and its a action packed day on land, on the water and in the air.
Last years event has just been awarded the by the Alexandrina Council as `Community Event of the Year’
