A craft beer feast is happening out along the Murray River as the Great Australian Beer Festival (GABF) returns to Albury’s picturesque QE11 Square to officially welcome in summer.
A road trip for the ages; you’ll enjoy a smorgasbord of the very best artisan brews from across the Murray and high-country regions boasting an abundance of the best ingredients from the purest of waters through to the world-renowned Rostrevor hops farm.
The local concentration doesn’t come at the expense of faraway favorites, however, as the brewers list is studded with a trove of beers from beyond the region and from around the country.
Indulge 7 hours in all the malt and yeast you can handle with over 150+ beers and ciders to taste. Enjoy non-stop live entertainment featuring Pierce Brothers, Ukulele Death Squad, The Ocean Party, Shag Rock and Jess Fairlie, and even participate in the festival’s very own New York styled piano & cabaret bar.
In addition to the countless brews, GABF offers educational seminars for folks seeking to learn more about the suds filling their souvenir glasses. Prominent beer personality and author, Prof. Pilsner – aka Pete Mitcham hosts a series of enthralling masterclasses.
The region is a food and beer destination for visitors with unique experiences, exceptional produce and spectacular scenery all big attractions. The Great Australian Beer Festival this December provides the perfect getaway option.
