Rutherglen In the City - Re-Imagined (FREE ONLINE EVENT)

Following three extremely successful years of bringing regional Rutherglen wines to notable city hubs, Rutherglen in the City is back again for 2020, albeit re-imagined.
This year, the Winemakers of Rutherglen will be hosting a virtual event on 28th of November, 2020, in which 16 Rutherglen Cellar Doors will showcase their incredible wines and tasting knowledge.
For the first time ever, the Winemakers of Rutherglen members have worked together to offer a range of mixed wines available to purchase online at www.winemakers.com.au.
The online wine store boasts more than 45 wines to choose from, which once ordered will be delivered directly to the participant’s door, ready to enjoy. The online wine store is now live and will remain open until Sunday 15th of November.
On top of this extraordinary offering, Winemakers of Rutherglen members will host a virtual event via Zoom on Saturday the 28th of November from 10:30am – 6:30pm.
This will enable participants to attend winery masterclasses throughout the day, all from the comfort of their own home. The online event will also include live tastings, wine chats and the opportunity to ask questions to some of the region’s most renowned winemakers.
Rutherglen In The City Re-Imagined is a free virtual event.
To truly get a taste of what the region has to offer, Winemakers of Rutherglen recommends participants purchase a mixed selection of wines.
Prior to the virtual event, a timetable of activities will be emailed to participants, shared on social media and available on the website at www.winemakers.com.au.
Participants will then be able to jump online for the Zoom session of their choosing, sitting down virtually with Rutherglen winemakers to have live wine-chats with the makers themselves. The online shop will be re-opened on the day to allow all participants to re-purchase their favourites, or try something new.
The Winemakers of Rutherglen encourage participants to gather around with their friends and family (as per COVID-19 guidelines) and enjoy wine together as they listen, learn, and discuss all things Rutherglen wine.
