Sturt Reserve Mooring Bollards
15 Mar - 27 May 2010
Sturt Reserve Mooring Bollards
Community Projects
Expressions of Interest will open in February from the local Aboriginal community to participate in the Ngarrindjeri design and carving of the existing mooring bollards along the riverfront at Sturt Reserve.
The designs will be developed with Michael Tye as lead artist in collaboration with the Murray Darling Natural Resources Management Board and based on Ngarrindjeri Ngatjis (totems).
Members of the community interested in wood-carving will then be supported by the Murraylands Woodturners to carve the designs into the bollards resulting in public artworks which compliment the existing mosaic seating.
