Tallangatta 50's Festival

The township of Tallangatta is located in North East Victoria and was relocated in the mid-50s, a time when Frankie J Holden and the FJ Holden were cruising around town looking for a good Rock’n’Roll night out. The Bodgies and the Widgies wore their leathers and Winkle Pickers; and Elvis was shaking his pelvis like no other. 50s chicks wore the beehive hairdo, bobby socks, twin sets and scarves; Tupperware parties were all the rage! The 50s were a time when a good pot of Bushels tea was shared among friends over the red or green laminex table while tuning into the wireless to hear the latest hits of the likes of Johnny Young, Lonny Lee, Normie Rowe, Johnny Chester and Little Pattie. The 50s was a time when home was sweet home, and Rock was about to change the world. Join thousands of Rock’n’Roll enthusiasts from all over the country for a non-stop Rock’n’Roll weekend; wear your 50s gear and twist and groove all weekend baby! There are classic cars, motorcycles, non-stop Rock’n’Roll dancing, world class entertainment, busking and so much more!

Sunday 30th is an all inclusive day for a $20 cost.(Under 18 free)
It features all day live music from 10.30 am( approx) starring Wilbur Wilde and the Troublemakers, plus the Rockin Daddys, Sharyn Bilston(compere and entertainment) and Olivia Byrne.
Other attractions will be the all day craft markets, and all day kids rides and amusements.
