SATURDAY 13 NOVEMBER
EDWARDS SQUARE SOUNDSHELL
2PM – 10PM

Music SA and Carclew Youth Arts are proud to present a free outdoor all ages concert in the Edwards Square Soundshell in Murray Bridge on Saturday 13 November between 2pm – 10pm.

Louder Than Words is a show in two parts, beginning at 2pm with acoustic singer songwriters The Goodnight Duo, Jake Cheeseman and Daniel Cameron.

Local reggae band Irie Knights are up next. Their laid back grooves compliment a sunny afternoon just perfectly, and they’re an ideal choice to warm up the crowd for live favourites Gracewood.

Gracewood are a young roots and blues outfit based in Adelaide. Since their formation in early 2006 they have explored the Adelaide gig circuit and experimented with unique sounds, which has developed their reputation as one of SA’s exciting acts to watch.

Laura Hill and The Tuesday Bandits’ are up next, and their music is delightful; it has a sense of beauty and playfulness while remaining heartfelt and exceedingly warm. There is a definite Aussie flavour that traverses the range from thoughtful, beautiful acoustic tunes to fun, high-spirited blues and reggae numbers.

Softer’n a rabbit sheltrin’ an a holler, with sweet harmonies and rich tremolo electric guitar, aged. Old. Just the right amount of haunting. Our afternoon headline act The Yearlings rock sad and slow, like a chair on an old wooden porch. They have been chipping away quietly since 2001, releasing four great studio records and a live album. The band is currently on a national tour supporting their most recent album ‘Sweet Runaway’.

It’s going to get loud from 6.30pm, the time when young hardcore act Lake Nyos take to the stage. This five piece Death Metal/Hardcore band hailing from Adelaide formed in 2009, and their debut EP “Iniquity” has just been released to rave reviews.

Jack The Giant Killer need little introduction, as their reputation reaches both far and wide. They’ve been performing around Adelaide for a few years now, and their technical brand of hardcore has earned the band fans across the globe. We don’t recommend standing close to the stage unless you want to get involved in the fun!

Founded in 2006, Arcadia have played with some of Australia’s best metal talent, including the likes of Lord, Alchemist, The Amenta, Captain Cleanoff, Double Dragon, Universum, Truth Corroded and many more. They’re also good friends with our nighttime headliners SE BON KI RA.

Since the band’s first gig in November 2007, SE BON KI RA has been blessed with enthusiastic crowd responses. Having shared stages with the likes of Static X (USA), Mortal Sin, Alchemist, Double Dragon, Dreadnaught and Psycroptic, SE BON KI RA live shows are an intense combination of energetic passion and fun. Believing that heavy metal can be powerful and carry meaning without conveying the negativity often stereotypically associated with the genre SE BON KI RA appeal to those that like it hard and the heavy.
