Corowa National Federation Festival - Australia Day Weekend
every year over the three days leading to Australia Day
On January 1, 1901 the Commonwealth of Australia was proclaimed. This event was based on proposals put forth at a conference held in Corowa in 1893. Corowa proudly claims the title of the “Birthplace of Federation”. This festival is a celebration of Corowa’s role in the Federation of Australia. The three day festival includes markets, sideshows and rides, live music, a Hot Rod Show ‘n’ Shine, vintage tractor pull, BBQ and food stalls, a Grand Parade on the Sunday morning and fireworks on Friday and Saturday evenings. A B’n’S Ball is held on the Saturday evening.
