Offering central access to some of the most scenic stretches of the Murray River, Kia Marina is 8km upstream from Mannum and a brisk 1ΒΌ hrs drive from Adelaide.
Representing over 26 – two to twelve berth Houseboats, from modest vacationers to luxurious lazy cruisers, Kia Marina offers the holiday maker a broad range of unique houseboating opportunities. Whether it’s a quiet spa on the sun deck in a secluded reach of the Murray, or a family fishing and watersports weekend, our extensive experience in the industry is sure to match you with your ideal house boating holiday. If you like, we can even organise your travel arrangements to and from Adelaide.
With houseboats powered by economical diesel, two stroke outboard or four stroke marine
motors, the Kia fleet is maintained to very high standards by our dedicated qualified staff. 7 day a week service, UHF radio or telephone contact with Kia base, Dmh maps and comprehensive boating tuition from qualified instructors all provide you with the peace of mind that ensures your stay on the Murray is a relaxing one.
With moorings available, Kia also offers management and servicing facilities, boat building, full slipping and marine maintenance. All of which goes to show we’re pretty serious about our house boating! We’re even offering first timers the opportunity of experiencing houseboating for free with introductory cruises – so please, don’t deprive yourself of the perfect holiday any longer.
Houseboating. That’s a holiday…


All Kia Marina houseboats are provided with the following for your convenience:
- Cutlery, Crockery and cooking utensils
- Drinking water
- Pillows/Pillowcases, Blankets, Quilts or doonas
- Linen – sheets, bath towels, bath mats, hand towels, tea towels
- Cleaning equipment
- Fire extinguishers
- Life vests and/or buoys
- First aid kit
- Two-way radio (UHF, Marine)
- Ice and provisions can be arranged

- The Hire Period commences at 3.00pm on the first day and concludes at 10.00am on the last day.
- Unless otherwise indicated hire periods are:
OFF PEAK – June – August
NORMAL – 1st September – 31st May
PEAK – Easter, Christmas School Holidays
- Deposit is required within seven days to confirm booking, with full payment required six weeks prior to departure (Ranging from $200 – $500)
- The cash bond is payable on boarding and will be refunded through the mail less fuel costs and any loss or damage at cost, 7-14 days upon end of hire period.
- Refund of deposit is discretionary if craft cannot be re-booked following a late cancellation.
- The number of people on board must not exceed the number of berths.
- Anyone driving the boat must be at least 18 years of age and hold a current driving or boat licence.
- Comprehensive instructions will be given in the handling of the craft, together with river maps and DMH equipment.
- Firearms, axes, chainsaws, trailbikes, animals and candles are strictly prohibited.
- Houseboats must not travel further south than the Wellington Ferry.
- Houseboats must not be driven at night. All marine and Harbour regulations must be agreed and adhered to at all times.
- The owner/management reserves the right to refuse any person/s the use of the houseboat/vessel.
- The boat must be returned in a neat and tidy condition, or fees will be incurred.
- Smoking restrictions apply to the inside of houseboats, as well as mosquito coils.
- No fuel to be carried or decanted on the houseboat, including gas cylinders for lanterns, BBQ ’s etc.
