Conditions of Hire

• Maximum number of people on board must not exceed 6 by order of Dept. of Transport (DMH) law.
• Deposit: $300 within 7 days to confirm booking. Failure to pay deposit will result in the houseboat being re-offered for hire.
• Final Payment: Due 6 weeks prior to departure.
  (Final payments made by credit card will incur merchant fee charges)
• Security Bond: $600 (Cash) payable on boarding. Refunded by mail 7-14 days after hire, less fuel, call-outs and damages as applicable. Bond refund will be by cheque, or bank transfer (details required), Insurance excess is $500.
• Cancellations:
  Cancellations notified 45 days before hire will be refund all money paid less a $100.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 45 days prior to departure will forfeit all monies paid, unless the houseboat can be re-booked for its full value, in which case all monies will be refunded less the deposit.
  A $100 rebooking fee will apply.
• Extra charges for late return and extra cleaning.
• Owner/Managers reserve the right to refuse use of the vessel to any person/s.
• We agree to have the boat, motors and accessories in good working order but we will not be obliged to compensate the hirer for loss of time due to mechanical problems during the hire period.
