Our Matahari Houseboats are 18.3 metres by 6.7 m with 74 sq metres of living area, a real home away from home on the water. There are three seperate bedooms and large lounge areas fore and aft. Each boat sleeps up to 10 people. The boats are powered by a new 25HP Yamaha four Stroke Outboard. Our super quiet 240v Honda 3.0KVA Generators keep the power coming.

Now talking about driving, you don’t have to have done time in the navy in order to take the helm of your Matahari. In fact you will be pleasantly surprised to find out how simple it is to manoevure. Naturally we will give you a lesson on the operation before you set off on your exciting river holiday. If you should have any problems, we are just a phone call away

DEPOSIT
A deposit of $200.00 is required within 14 days to confirm your booking.
The balance is payable two months prior to the commencement of your hire or by negotiation

SECURITY BOND
A cash security bond of $400.00 is required by the proprietors prior to the commencement of the hire, and will be refunded (less fuel costs) on return if the boat is returned on time, clean and in good condition. Any damage or extra cleaning will be charged at cost.

LETTING
The letting is made on the understanding that the boat is placed at the disposal of the hirer on the date desired, unless the proprietors are prevented from doing so by mechanical breakdown, unusual river conditions or any unforseen circumstances. In this case all monies paid will be refunded to the hirer. The proprietors are not obliged to compensate the hirer for any loss of time due to mechanical breakdown.

CANCELLATION
Cancellation of any booking must be made at least two months prior to commencement of hire and no monies will be refunded until the full period of the booking has been rebooked. A $50.00 cancellation fee will be charged.
The number of persons on board must not exceed the number of berths and the boat must be driven in daylight hours. Pets are not permitted due to health regulations, and firearms are not allowed.

FUEL
The fuel tanks will be full prior to departure and all engine and generator fuel will be charged for on return.

LICENCE
A license is not required however at least one person must be over the age of 21 and hold a current motor car drivers licence.

HIRE
Hire commences at 3.00pm on the first day and will terminate at 9.00am
on the final day of hire. The minimum hire period is three days.

CAR PARKING
Off street parking is provided on private property at the Matahari Mooring Site.
