Narrung in the Coorong on the peninsula

Narrung is a settlement west of Meningie. It is situated at the northern extent of the Narrung Peninsula, which separates The Coorong from Lake Albert adjacent to The Narrows which separates Lake Albert from the larger Lake Alexandrina.

Straight across the free 24 hour Narrung Ferry you can explore Australia’s only inland lighthouse at Point Malcolm and drive past the back of the historic Poltalloch Station (now a private residence) or head west towards Raukkan.

Narrung offers free overnight camping as an RV friendly destination. You can stay up to 72 hours, pets on lead, has mobile coverage, bins, toilets, water, covered seating. Near the ferry the grounds are wonderful with views across Lake Alexandrina and the lighthouse. An RV dump point can be found in Meningie.
