Mungo National Park
18 - 20 Jan 2013
Mungo National Park is an area of international significance for its cultural, archaeological and landscape features. It is a place of striking natural features and cultural richness as well as telling the dramatic story of landscape and climate change. Mungo National Park is jointly managed between the traditional Aboriginal groups of this area and the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. Representatives of the Paakantji, Nygiampaa and Mutthi Mutthi tribal group have been employed as Discovery Ranger and they invite you to share with them in learning about this amazing and unique area. Link up with Aboriginal Discovery Rangers and learn first hand about the Aboriginal culture and dreaming stories on display and the new interpretive centre. From here you will tag-along in your own vehicle for an informative tour of the famous Walls of China. Drinking water, sturdy footwear, cameras, binoculars, sunscreen and hats are strongly recommmended. Tickets are available from the Visitor Centre 15-30 minutes before tours commence. Check road conditions particularly if it has been raining on 5027 5090
