Murray River International Music Festival

The Murray River International Music Festival began as an initiative of Stefano de Pieri and Helen Healy and has been running for 6 years. It is a fine music festival presenting world class Australian and International musicians to audiences in unique locations along the Murray River including Mildura.
Each day of the program provides world class performances combined with master-classes, workshops and school visits. The artists perform in a variety of venues ranging from riverside settings to riverboats, wineries to regional arts venues.
The Murray River International Music Festival provides a dynamic program of performances at Mildura, Wentworth, Swan Hill, Echuca, Katunga and Shepparton venues, providing regional food and wine experiences.
The 2011 Festival opens with a performance of the Telemann Paris Quartets over two nights in one of the most beautiful gardens in regional Australia. Audiences will be graced by the sounds of the finest Australian players performing the pinnacle of baroque chamber music.
The festival continues with performances by sopranos Shu Cheen Yu, pianist Anthony Halliday, visiting Italian artists Gianfranco Bortolato (oboe), Michele Benuzzi (Harpsichord), Elena Bertuzzi (Soprano) and culminates with a performance by award winning soprano Greta Bradman.
