2016 Rochester Mural Festival

The Rochester Mural Festival will engage a number of mural artists in a public paint-off over 7 days. This paint off will be the culmination of a process with the identification of a mural theme through a poetry contest, an invitation to mural artists across Australia to submit entries based on the theme, and a selection of finalists for the paint-off.
At the completion of the paint-off, a formal judging panel will identify a winning mural. In addition there will be the people’s award based on votes received during the paint off wee as well as the visitors award based on votes from visitors over the following 12 months.
The completed murals will then remain on display in the Mural Park for the next 12 months.
