Held in Tailem Bend – the gateway to the Limestone Coast tourism region, the Murraylands Music Festival is a community-based festival proudly showcasing the district.
A pleasant 1-hour drive from Adelaide along the South Eastern freeway, Tailem Bend offers exceptional quality accommodation and facilities.
The local school took on the role of coordinating the festival’s organization and to help develop the town’s festival’s future for the children, their families and the community.
“Our aim is to give the community a positive festival that helps reinforce the proud values held in the town and to provide its youth with positive opportunities with in it’s own districtâ€.
The Murraylands Music Festival features Australia’s best professional artists as well as a talent quest that is run in conjunction with the South Australian Council for Country Music. This Talent Quest has entrants from all around South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania.
Over the last few years this festival has been a catalyst for a number of young performers who have gone on to win state and national awards as well as performing with Australian identities.
Supported by the Coorong District Council, the 3 day festival is held in the main street of Tailem Bend and provides music, activities for children, showcases local produce and is fully catered.
