Tour of the Murray River Cycling Race

The tour has grown into Australia’s premier cycling classic. The Tour of the Murray is more than just a bike race. It is a regional community event. Seven municipalities will feature in the eight-day tour – Moira, Campaspe, Gannawarra, Swan Hill, Balranald, Yarriambiack and Mildura.
While several new stages have been introduced into the event, long-renowned criteriums at Robinvale, Euston, Ouyen, Merbein and Mildura have been retained.
An 89km stage from Merbein to Red Cliffs, last held in 2001, has been re-introduced and will be raced on Saturday afternoon, September 3. On Friday 2 September the race will by in Ouyen coinciding with The Great Australian Vanilla Slice Competion, and concluding in Mildura on Sunday 4 September.
