To celebrate the Centenary of the Paddle Steamer Melbourne through a collaboration of heritage Paddle Steamers from stretches along the Murray River. Some of which have not travelled to Mildura for over 50 years – since the River Trade died out.
This will be the largest congregation of vessels for at least 20 years!
Itinerary for the day
8.00am – 11.00am
Boats will arrive through Lock 11
11.00am – 11.30am
P.S Melbourne, P.V Rothbury & P.B Mundoo will greet the P.S Marion, P.S Industry, P.S Oscar W, P.S Ruby & P.S Adelaide.
12.00pm – 12.30pm
Official Welcome & Birthday celebrations for the P.S Melbourne. Including Cake!
12.30pm – 1.15pm
Cruise aboard the P.S Melbourne or P.S Marion
1.00pm – 1.45pm
Cruise aboard the P.S Oscar W or P.S Industry or P.S Ruby
1.45pm – 2.30pm

The Paddlesteamer Melbourne’s Centenary River Festival in Mildura will be a unique event bringing together many different groups including dedicated and passionate Murray River, Heritage Vessel and steam enthusiasts.
The creative drive and willingness to bring these vessels to Mildura is evident in the commitment made by the volunteer groups in Mildura and interstate.
