Tooleybuc NSW on the banks of the Murray River

Tooleybuc (NSW)

Across the border over the Murray River and 1904 bridge from Piangil sits Tooleybuc. This small town, set amid irrigated farms growing citrus fruit and vines, boasts a sporting club providing a range of modern sporting facilities including tennis, golf, bowls and poker machines. The word is to 'Try your luck in Tooleybuc'.

The Lions Park opposite the Tooleybuc Hotel is a great place to rest, with children's playground, BBQ's and public toilets. From Tooleybuc, the visitor might like to head north into wheat and sheep grazing country, a marked change from the closer settled Victorian side of the river. Heading north this is the road to and from Sydney.

At Kyalite, 22 km north on the Balranald Road are large plantations of pistachios. Kyalite Pistachios is open to the public during working hours.
