The friendly staff at the Wentworth Visitor Information centre will give you a special welcome and provide informative town maps, drive and walk trails. Discover our large array of ‘things to see and do’, ‘best kept secrets of the area’, places to eat and places to stay.
Maps and Drive trails direct you to – Vivid Contrasts – the confluence of Australia’s two greatest rivers – the Darling & Murray; iconic Perry Sandhills – family fun & adventure; awesome sunrises & sunsets; a fairyland after dark; salt & blue bush Vegetation and ancient fossil country! Historic Port of Wentworth Precinct – the district’s oldest town has classic buildings creating a ‘village atmosphere’.
Our region is the gateway to Mungo National Park World Heritage area; enjoy a unique eco-tour experience of an area steeped in Aboriginal cultural heritage. Showcase attractions include – the semi-arid botanic gardens; museum and homestead visit; a food & wine buffs’ paradise; boutique wineries; cellar door sales and a wide variety of eating places. Community clubs provide dining and entertainment plus excellent indoor & outdoor sporting facilities.
To get the most out of your stay – first stop at our Accredited Visitor Information Centre which is open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm Weekends & Public Holidays 10am-2pm for local and interstate information (closed Good Friday and Christmas Day). We also have souvenirs, maps, cards & gifts for sale.
