The Echuca Moama Triathlon is offering a multi sports weekend including the following events:
– CLRS ‘River Gums’ Fun Run
– Echuca-Moama Junior Duathlon
– Echuca-Moama Triathlon
– Wharf to Winery Swim.
The Echuca Moama Triathlon Club (EMTC) is offering triathletes and spectators alike one of Australia’s unique events, a twilight sprint distance triathlon in Echuca. Starting and finishing at the historic Port of Echuca Precinct, the triathlon entails a 700 metres downstream swim in the Murray River, 20 kilometre ride and five kilometre scenic river run. Awards and prizes are offered for all podium positions across the eight age groups, teams and in the open category. The twilight triathlon is the highlight of the club’s event calendar and it is not to be missed.
The Tri Club will also host a Wharf to Winery Swim on Sunday morning where participants will swim from the Echuca Wharf down stream to Morrisons Winery. Swimmers will then be returned to the Echuca Wharf by paddle-steamer.
