Port of Echuca Celebration of Steam

Looking for a family day out with a difference? Look no further than the Port of Echuca Celebration of Steam, set at the bustling Port of Echuca, 52 Murray Esplanade, Echuca, on Saturday 3 and Sunday, 4 October 2009.
Experience the fun of a bygone era over two magiccal days, showcasing the change in transport over the last 100 years with steam engines, horse-drawn carriages, paddlesteamers, vintage cars and tractors on display.
With family entertainment on both days there is something for everyone with street theatre, activities for the children including face painting, pony rides, a magician, old-fashioned street games and more.
Entertainment will continue through to Saturday evening from 6 pm, where the world’s largest fleet of paddlesteamers will steam the river together in a magnificent display of toots and whistles along the mighty Murray River. This will be followed by a grand finale of spectacular fireworks viewable from Echuca Wharf.
