Echuca Moama will again be the place to be this winter for heart-starting blues and roots music and the perfect antidote for a bad case of the winter blues with its annual Winter Blues Festival.
The Echuca Moama Winter Blues Festival, to be held on the last weekend in July 2016 will fill the historic Port of Echuca’s heritage precinct and surrounding venues with more than 40 blues and roots performers from across the country.
The Winter Blues Festival and is billed as one of the major ticket items on the Echuca Moama event calendar and attracts more than 20,000 people annually. Visitors to this much-loved festival can soak up the blues and roots atmosphere from every street corner, in restaurants and bars and even on board one of the town’s famous paddle steamers. This year’s festival will be the largest to date with blues music filling 30 venues across the twin Murray River towns of Echuca and Moama. The fact that the vast majority of the blues and roots music is FREE is still a major drawcard of the festival.
The Echuca-Moama Winter Blues Festival serves up a great family-friendly event with kid’s entertainment and FREE live blues and roots music across the weekend to help you beat those winter blues!
The Winter Blues ‘Boot Camp’ has become a much anticipated feature of the event where the festival’s ‘newest’ blues musicians, mentored by four major performers, have the opportunity to display their new skills at a Friday night sell-out jam session – for which organisers encourage early bookings…
